Closed cooling tower is also called closed cooling tower or closed cooling tower. It is divided into counterflow closed cooling tower, crossflow closed cooling tower and compound flow closed cooling tower in form. Its application range is very wide. Advantages of crossflow cooling tower:

1. Simple structure, easy loading and unloading;

2. Low head pressure (energy saving);

3. Convenient maintenance, low failure rate, easy maintenance;

4. The cooling fins are not easy to scale and algae, and the cooling fins are easy to clean;

5. Other emergency cooling measures can be taken when the external air environment is higher than the design environment;

6. Low cost of use, wide range of dosing, equipment is not easy to corrode, and the head pressure required by the motor can be reduced. ;

 
Disadvantages of crossflow cooling tower: The efficiency is relatively lower than the counterflow type. The same refrigeration ton requires a larger box and floor space, and the water consumption is relatively slightly higher.
 

Advantages of counterflow cooling tower:

1. Small footprint, slightly higher efficiency than crossflow at the same volume;

2. Can produce a larger water temperature difference than crossflow.

 
Disadvantages of counterflow cooling tower:

1. Complex internal structure, internal rotary water distributor is prone to failure, and inconvenient to repair after failure;

2. More likely to produce algae and sludge, easy to cause blockage of water distributor, higher requirements for sterilization and algae removal;

3. Higher requirements for dosing, except for metal pipelines, the rotating mechanism is also metal parts;

4. High head pressure requirements, high requirements for water pump configuration;

5. Fast efficiency decay, and subsequent cooling capacity decay rate is fast.

 
There is no advantage or disadvantage between the two cooling towers, just consider according to the actual situation.
