What are the benefits of a closed cooling tower for a vacuum furnace?

With the development of industrial manufacturing, closed cooling towers are increasingly used in industrial cooling, such as steel, petrochemical, electric power, new energy, mechanical processing, air conditioning systems and other industries. Closed cooling towers have the characteristics of no scaling, high efficiency, and low energy consumption, and are deeply favored by customers. Today, let's talk about how to use closed cooling towers in the vacuum furnace industry.

The working principle of a vacuum furnace mainly includes the following steps:

1. Forming a vacuum environment: First, the air in the furnace cavity is extracted through a vacuum system (including a vacuum pump, a vacuum measuring device, a vacuum valve, etc.) to form a low-pressure environment below a standard atmospheric pressure.

2. Heating process: Under vacuum, the furnace cavity is heated to a specified temperature. This can be achieved through electric heating devices, such as resistors, induction coils, electrodes, and electron guns.

3. Heat exchange: During the heating process, the boiling point of the water in the furnace cavity decreases under low pressure conditions, thereby boiling rapidly and generating high-temperature water vapor. These water vapors condense on the heat exchange tubes and output heat through steam-water condensation heat exchange.

After the vacuum furnace completes the high-temperature treatment, the high-temperature items (such as metals or ceramics) in the furnace need to be quickly cooled to achieve the predetermined material properties. They can be quickly cooled by a closed cooling tower. A closed cooling tower is usually composed of a cooling medium (such as water) and a cooling structure (such as a cooling pipe). The cooling medium absorbs the heat around the high-temperature items through the cooling structure and takes the heat away, so that the high-temperature items are quickly cooled to the set temperature.

The advantage of using a closed cooling tower is that the cooling speed can be controlled to ensure the cooling quality of the product. In addition, the closed cooling tower can also reduce the oxidation reaction during the cooling process and avoid the formation of an oxide layer on the surface of the material.

In short, the closed cooling tower plays an important cooling role in the vacuum furnace process, which can ensure that the material has the required performance and quality.
